Venus Traps is a performance, exhibition and club night to bridge the gap between inaccessible white cube art spaces and queer club culture in the community space of ACUD MACHT NEU.
A stateless solo on women, death and the state by Kurdish performance artist Elvan Tekin, an interactive confession booth by Cleo Kempe Towers and a live concert by Eddington Again, creating left-field soul with pop sensibilities, that explores human experience and spirituality.
The performances are followed by DJ sets of Berlins most wanted: Linnéa, Soyklō, $ombi and Nas Tea with electronic music spanning from bass, jungle to breakbeat and house.
We aim to watch, to learn, to listen, to mourn, to sing, to confess and to dance amongst the traps and tears installation of Lauriane Daphne Carl.
